I have thought in past years about running for City Council, but I always let the deadline pass me by. This time, I made sure it didn't.

There's a natural inclination on the part of our employees to want to be near New Orleans. And so that's what we're trying to look at. We're looking at Houston, and we're looking at several locations.

We can't return to the building anytime soon. So we have to have an alternative site. The question is, where?

We waited too long to leave. We learned that you have to make the decision to leave 72 hours before landfall. Otherwise, you can't get out.

We are handling only extreme emergencies. If you need a stay of execution, we'll do that.

We couldn't get furniture delivery until Saturday, so now no one has a place to work, ... I think that, by Wednesday, we're going to have everybody seated at a desk with a phone and ready to roll.

When we share, everybody gets strengthened. We're a family.

We didn't want anyone to stay out of a sense of duty, that's for sure. The most important thing in a situation like this is people's lives. Everything else is secondary.
